New Private Health Insurance Exchange for Members

Recognizing the need for members to have access to health insurance and wellness programs, ICTA has engaged the services of USI Affinity Insurance to offer a private health-insurance marketplace. USI Affinity expands the notion of what “member benefits” are by making the shopping experience more like what members are used to from their everyday lives. This makes it extremely easy and fast.

USI Affinity will enable a truly unified, streamlined experience for all types of members and their staffs. Whether they are covered through the public exchanges or traditional coverage, enrollment can take place in a paperless environment. The platform facilitates communication with the public exchanges for subsidies, eligibility requirements, and enrollment as well as directly with carriers off exchange. It also provides refined decision support at key points in the process, along with educational videos to help members choose the right products. The marketplace has the flexibility to accommodate group, individual, and senior products all within the same environment. USI will offer a multitude of member benefits in the same buying experience at the same time, while making sure the products being shown are appropriate for each member.

USI will provide ICTA with a branded Web portal. This site will allow members to shop from among a wide variety of major medical health plans and supplemental insurance products through the use of creative, interactive technology.

The technology behind the exchange is delivered by Maxwell Health. USI, through Maxwell, will offer a mobile app to help engage members during all 12 months of the year—not just during the enrollment process. The app supports each member beyond this first step with a consumer-oriented experience that helps them use their benefits and easily navigate health care.

The mobile app is the one place a member can go for everything health-related, and it allows the member to view and shop for other insurance coverage. Using the mobile app to access benefits and a “personal health advocate” service makes actually using those benefits easier than ever. It is our hope that pairing the health services with the best and most effective wellness products will engage our members year round while providing the tools to improve your health.
